Transmission and Substation Switches
Choose your intended switch application - Transmission or Substation - then answer the questions about clearance issues.
You will be presented with a list of switch design types that will operate in your intended environment. Each switch type is linked to a Selection Help file; a list of Pros and Cons associated with each design that will guide you through the final selection process.
After you review the Selection Help file and decide if that switch style is correct for your application, you can download a Typical Specification document file (Word 97).
The Typical Specification documents for Transmission switches will also include a fill-in-the-blank addendum that allows specifiers to indicate desired quantity, voltage, BIL, current, frame, structure, operating mechanism and number of ways.
Once completed, you can print, then mail or fax; or e-mail the Word file as your Definition of Product for RFQ's to selected vendors.
Motor Operators
Typical Specification documents for Transmission, Substation and Distribution Class Motor Operator Mechanisms can be downloaded for your use.
