The Turner Electric "RH" by-pass switch is a single unit consisting of two "BT-2" Disconnect Switches mounted on a common base and a third disconnect blade mounted on flat bus copper bars. This design provides ease of operation when isolating voltage regulators for routine maintenance or inspection.
This unit is compact and is constructed with all of the quality features and rigid specifications found in the Turner "BT-2" Disconnect Switch.
Operating Sequence
To bypass the regulator, first set the regulator in the neutral position, then close in the center switch to establish parallel current paths. Either switch can then be opened one at a time.
